Inside my May 2012 Glossybox: The Oohs and Eh's... / by Erin Baynham

May 2012 Glossybox One of my biggest thrills during the middle of the year is walking outside when I wake up. Why? Because it feels stupendous outside. I often sit at this table on my deck with a sweet tea and work to my heart's content. Fun times.

I received my second Glossybox a few days ago. They sent it to me because I filled out a long, drawn out survey, and thought I should have another round. This one isn't quite as exciting as the first (for me), but still had some perks! Here's what's inside and what I was excited about:

I'm Excited About

Amore Pacific Moisture Bound Refreshing Hydra Gel- Since my sunburn incident, I've really been trying to step my skincare game up. This light moisturizer felt great on my skin, and didn't leave the super shiny skin that some of my other moisturizers give.

Burberry Beauty Lip Mist Natural Sheer Lipstick Copper No. 202-More than anything, I wanted to see the quality of the lipstick. The lipstick itself is etched with the Burberry plaid, and the case is too. I don't own any $30 lipsticks, so I can't wait to see if it's worth the price.

I'm Kind of Excited About

Phyto Phytojoba Intense Hydrating Mask- This would have been the most excited part of the box three years ago, when I was a loose natural. Now that I have locs, I wouldn't use it (for fear that I couldn't wash it all out).

Zoya Beach and Surf Collection-This is a fun orangey color, but truth be told, I hate frosty nail polishes!

Eh, Not So Much

Marvis Whitening- Lord knows I need this, but mint makes me gag.

Blush Brush- The thought was great, but it's one of the hardest brushes I've ever felt. It has the same feel as the rouge compacts from the 80's. If I didn't own blush brushes, I probably wouldn't realize how bad it really is.

Don't forget, you can subscribe to Glossybox for $21 a month. I'm still deciding if this is for me, especially since this one isn't as exciting. For more information on Glossybox, check out Glossybox.com.
